FAQ

Welcome to our FAQ page! Here you will find answers to some of the most common questions we receive from our customers.

We understand that you may have some questions about our farm and products, and we are here to help. If you don’t find the answer you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to assist you.

What exactly is a regenerative farm?

A regenerative farm is an agricultural system that prioritizes soil health using the principles of regenerative agriculture. The focus is on producing nutrient-rich, resilient, and healthy food. To achieve this, regenerative farming avoids the use of chemical substances, minimises soil disturbance, and encourages biodiversity. By implementing these practices, we can create healthier soil, which yields healthier food, leading to healthier humans.

Is your produce certified organic?

No, it is not. However, we have valid reasons for this. Firstly, we feel that getting certified organic goes against our values. Our farming practices should demonstrate a natural way of growing produce without any additives. We don’t believe in spending money on costly certificates to demonstrate that our products are free of harmful substances. Instead, those who use harmful substances should be paying for a label that reflects this, allowing us to keep our products at an affordable price for our customers. Secondly, we cannot guarantee that our produce is 100% organic due to external factors, such as the farming practices of neighbouring farmers. However, we have established a good relationship with our neighbours and together we strive to minimise any negative impact their actions may have on our land.

Where can I buy your produce?

Our farm has a unique approach to selling produce – we are a “u-pick” farm, which means you get to harvest the produce yourself. It’s a fun and educational activity, especially for kids. Our mission is to not only grow healthy food but also to educate the public on where their food comes from and to raise awareness about sustainable farming methods. You’ll learn about how different fruits and vegetables grow, whether underground or on a plant or tree, and how to pick them. By picking the produce yourself, you’ll help prevent both food waste and packaging waste. We encourage you to bring your own bag or carton box.

What are your opening hours?

We are open Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. On the weekends we are open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. On Mondays we are closed.

Do I need to schedule an appointment?

Yes. Our top priority is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Therefore, we strive to ensure that we’re available to answer all your questions and keep the number of visitors at a comfortable level so that your experience is peaceful. To avoid disappointment, we kindly request that you contact us beforehand at 5721 3936 to schedule a convenient day and time for your visit. This will also prevent you from finding our gate closed as we may be away running errands.

Do you charge for visits?

We do not charge for guided tours of our farm. We love sharing our knowledge and passion with you. Instead of a fee, we invite visitors to make a voluntary donation of their choice. You can contribute by placing your donation in the “Give What You Want” box on our terrace table.

I want to learn more about regenerative agriculture. Do you provide training?

If you’re looking to learn more about regenerative agriculture, we don’t currently offer any training programs. However, we welcome volunteers to join our team and learn by doing.

How does volunteering on your farm work?

Volunteering on our farm is a great way to get involved with the local community and learn more about sustainable agriculture. We welcome volunteers of all ages and experience levels, and no prior farming experience is necessary.

We typically schedule volunteer shifts on Saturday mornings, but we’re happy to work with your schedule if you have availability during the week.

To get started, simply reach out to us via email (hello@justnaturalveg.com) or phone (5721 3936) to let us know you’re interested in volunteering. We’ll provide you with all the information you need to know, including what to wear, what to bring, and what tasks you’ll be working on.

On the day of your volunteer shift, we’ll greet you and introduce you to the rest of the team. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced farmers, learn new skills, and make new friends.

Volunteering on our farm is a rewarding experience, and we’re grateful for all the support we receive from our community. We hope you’ll join us soon!
